Seasonal Tips

Spring

Tip 1

Feed the soil- one of the best thins you can do is apply 1/2 inch of compost into your lawn each spring and fall. This builds up the soil building "process"

Tip 2

Re-seed annualy- thick turf is one of the best ways to control weeds. Slice seeding allows for optimal germination.

Tip 3

Mow high- Grass should be cut a 3 to 3 1/2 inches. High mowing is a better method for controlling crabgrass than herbicides. Make sure to keep blades sharp. Rotate mowing patterns.
